Cabbages and Condoms

Last weekend we went to a restaurant called Cabbages and Condoms along Sukhumvit 12. The condom concept easily outshone the food.

Okay let's talk FOOD. We ordered:

Thai-style dimsum
It felt like mashed potato. I didn't go beyond one bite.

Pork Satay
This is quite famous in the streets of Bangkok. The ones from C&C are just as good.

Tom Yum Kung
I'm not a fan of Seafood Tom Yum, but C&C's was rather yummy and has a lot of shrimps, squid and mushroom.

Pineapple rice
Everything in Bangkok has a rather sweet taste to it - even the fruits are dipped in a sugar-chili combo. Pineapple rice is no exception. Not my cup of tea, although this is also quite famous in Thailand.

Pork Fried Rice with Salted Egg
I don't eat pork, but I love salted egg, hence this. Obviously, nothing much to expect from a fried rice dish, but the salted egg was good. :D

Thai people will always tell you that if you want to eat really good Thai food, go to the cheaper restaurants; better yet, hit the streets! This is proof to that. Food is not spectacular, but the unique concept and ambiance makes for a rather memorable experience.
